Democratic Convention Coming Up – Listen and Learn
No matter what your political leanings are, if you’re interested in learning some great public speaking techniques, you should tune into the Democratic Convention next week (starting Monday, August 25).
You’ll hear such speakers as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and Mark Warner. Again, whether you agree with their politics, they’ve all gotten where they are due in part on their abilities as public speakers.
Listen how they use their words. Their pauses. Their body language. How they use stories. Pick up the phrases they use repeatedly. Learn what makes them great speakers, able to fire up a crowd.
